Summary of in-house software has been designed and developed by CLOSER. All of our software is made open-source allowing other organisations to extend and contribute.
Archivist is a multipurpose metadata management tool through a web interface. Using DDI-3.2, Archivist is capable of documenting data collection instruments and mapping datasets variables to their source questions. A controlled vocabulary can be applied to both questions and variables. Archivist has a collection of administrative tools to aid the organisation and curation of DDI metadata.
CMIE (CLOSER Metadata Integration Environment) is a command line tool for performing updates to a Colectica Respository. Developed using C# and the Colectica SDK. CMIE is the replacement for Loader.
Loader is CLOSER's software to build the metadata model for each study and load it into CLOSER Discovery. Developed using C# and Colectica SDK.
CLOSER Mapper was used for the express purpose of mapping variables to their source questions (or variables). All of Mapper's functionality has been rolled into Archivist and Mapper's support has been discontinued.
Tipi provides CLOSER Topic prediction as a service. Using machine learning trained over 50,000 variable labels, early tests have shown Tipi capable of predicting the correct level-1 topic 93% of the time.
