为 wèi 'for (somebody's benefit)'

Note that in this meaning, 为 is read in the Fourth Tone.


有些中国父母几乎可以为孩子牺牲自己的一切。 Yǒu xiē Zhōngguó fùmǔ jīhū kěyǐ wèi háizi yīshēng zìjǐ de yíqiè.
