瓶 Píng

For measuring liquid etc. contained in bottles, vases, and jars

一瓶水 yì píng shuǐ ‘a bottle of water’

一瓶花 yì píng huā ‘a bottle full of flowers’

一瓶果酱 yì píng guǒjiàng ‘a jar of jam’

那瓶水从她手上滑落。 Nà píng shuǐ cóng tā de shǒushàng huáluò.
‘The bottle of water slipped from her hand.’

她打开了那瓶印度墨水。 Tā dǎkāile nà píng Yìndù mòshuǐ.
‘She opened the bottle of Indian ink.’

我有两瓶威士忌。 Wǒ yǒu liǎng píng wēishìji.
‘I have two bottles of whisky.’

你可以在桌上放几瓶鲜花。 Nǐ kěyǐ zài zhuōshàng fàng jǐ píng xiānhuā.
‘You can put several vases of fresh flowers on the table.’

她喜欢把包装纸保存在瓶子里。 Tā xǐhuān bǎ bāozhuāngzhǐ bǎocún zài píngzi lǐ.
‘She likes to keep wrappers in a jar.’

这种瓶子有个大口,有时候还有两个把手。 Zhè zhǒng píngzi yǒu ge dà kǒu, yǒushíhou hái yǒu liǎng ge bǎshǒu.
‘This kind of jar has a wide mouth and sometimes has two handles.’
