Olympus FluoView FV1200 - Quick Shut-Down Instructions

  1. When you have finished your experiment for the day make sure to remove your sample from the microscope stage and clean all objectives you have been using carefully with some lens cleaning tissue.

  2. If someone is going to use the microscope within the next 3 hours after you (check microscope booking system) you only need to save your files and close down the FV10-ASW 4.2 acquisition software.

  3. Then click the Windows START button and Log off, so the next user can log back into the PC using their own pGina login details.

  4. If you are the last person using the microscope on the day or nobody wants to use it within the next 3 hours following your timeslot you will need to shut the complete system down.

  5. Save your files and close down the FV10-ASW 4.2 acquisition software.

  6. Shut down the PC.

  7. Switch of the fluorescence lamp using the ON/OFF button and wait until the countdown on the front LED display has gone to 0 (the lamp needs to cool down for ~ 10 min). Then switch it off at the wall.
