CLC Rollover Tool Shows Status as Failed
Description:
If you check the status of your rollover in the first page of the Rollover tool (via the More tab at the top of the course site), you see that its status reads as Failed.

Resolution/Workaround:
An error has been encountered that the tool cannot resolve. An error log will be generated and the VLE Product team will be informed. They will proactively contact you. These errors are most likely caused by some data inconsistencies between Moodle and SITS, which will require limited intervention by the technical team.
If you are concerned and are not contacted within 2 days, please email digi-ed@ucl.ac.uk with “CLC Failed” in your subject text with details including a link to your course.
My Enrolment Mappings are not displayed within the Portico Enrolment Tool following a course rollover
Description:
Course Rollover should copy any alignment mappings you select within the first page of the tool into the Portico Enrolment Tool as enrolment mappings. However in some cases where there is missing SITS data, the enrolment mappings do not display.
Resolution/Workaround:
The VLE Product team are currently working on a retroactive fix for this issue, that they aim to deploy within the next 2-4 weeks. After this point the missing mappings will appear and the issue will no longer occur.
Rollover not scheduled when editing the course name or Portico ID after receiving the 'name must be unique' error message.
Description:
A course rollover won't be scheduled if you edit the course name or Portico ID directly after receiving the 'must be unique' error message.
If you try to roll over a course with the same full name or short name, Portico identifier of an existing course, after selecting 'Schedule Rollover', you will see a 'name must be unique' error message. If you edit the name of the course to make it unique and then try again to select 'Schedule Rollover', you will be directed back to your course homepage and the rollover won't be scheduled.

Resolution/Workaround:
The VLE Product team are currently working on a retroactive fix for this issue to be deployed within the next 2 weeks. After this point, you will be able to roll over courses after receiving the 'name must be unique' error message and the issue will no longer occur.
Unable to roll over a course due to error: 'setting_already_added'
Description:
This happens if a block exists twice in a course. e.g. there are two Quickmail blocks in Anthropology with a Year Abroad (22/23).
Resolution/Workaround:
To resolve the error, we need to remove one of the duplicate blocks and attempt the rollover again.
- Access the 22/23 course with the error.
- Switch Edit mode on.
- Scroll down the right-hand side of the course page to locate the duplicate block.

- Click on the gear icon and select Delete.

- Confirm deletion of the block on next screen.
- Check the block is deleted.
- Use the M30a - Duplicating your Moodle course with the CLC rollover tool process to re-run the rollover.
If you have any concerns about a failed rollover, please email:
