  1. Course catalogue - get listed; have a space for people to find your course, promote the key information and start the registration, payment and learning journey. Many Most courses are directly linked to the Life Learning course catalogue

Once someone is interested in your course, UCLeXtend provides the functionality for them to register , pay (optional) and access your online learning space. Learners register with their own email address and password. Courses which charge provide a safe and secure method for taking payment for a course.

  • Payment via credit/debit card is preferred (it's quick and easy) and provides instant access to the Moodle course space. 
  • Payment via invoice (or other arrangement) is available. Departments process all invoice-based payments. Access is deferred until payment is confirmed.

Listing your course in UCLeXtend provides you an end point for all promotional marketing activities. You can attract your audience and direct them to a space where they can complete registration in a few simple steps.

3. Delivery: Online learning environment (Moodle)

UCLeXtend uses Moodle which can be used to build an online space for your course or anything that resembled an item in the list above. You may have a course in UCL Moodle that we can look to bring over to UCLeXtend, or you might be starting from scratch(or similar). We can help you plan and build your course, and there's plenty of people with extensive Moodle knowledge across the university who can help you, or share examples of what they've done already. There's a few limitations to bear in mind; the primary one is to remember As your learners are external to UCL, you can not assume they'll have access to the same resources as a UCL student - such as access to licensed library materials.
