Add -te (for the Past) and -t (for the Past Participle) to the Stem of the verb. Remove the -e of the infinitive to get the Stem.

All the verbs in -eren do this; it seems to be the dominant conjugation.

Past: -te; past participle: -t

Typically the stems of these verbs end in a long vowel followed by a consonant:
