动 Dòng is often used with verbs of motion.

爬得动 Pádedòng 'can climb'

这座山不陡,我们爬得动。 Zhè zuò shān bù dǒu, wǒmen pádedòng.
‘This hill isn’t steep; we can climb it.’

既然到了长城,再累也得爬得动。 Jìrán dàole Chángchéng, zài lèi yě děi pádedòng.
‘Ifyou are already on the Great Wall, you should climb hard even if you get more tired.’

快到山顶了,你还爬得动吗? Kuài dào shāndǐng le, nǐ hái pádedòng ma?
‘We are nearly there on the hill top, can you still climb?’

带这么重的行李,怎么可能爬得动? Dài zhème zhòng de xínglǐ, zěnme kěnéng pádedòng?
‘How could you climb (the stairs), carrying such heavy luggage?’

她这个年纪还爬得动楼梯。 Tā zhège niánjì hái pádedòng lóutī.
‘She is able to climb stairs even at her age.’
